Homegrown Heirloom Seeds from Our Permaculture Homestead
Australia Post is informing us that mail is a little slower than normal due to COVID. Please also note that that during peak times of seed orders it can take up to 5 days for an order to be packaged. We are a very tiny family based business doing it all ourselves. Thanks for your understanding.

Alpine Strawberries

Perennial plant growing to 15cm with small but hugely flavourful berries. This is a wilder variety of strawberry without runners so must be grown from seed and readily self-seeds once established. It is more tolerant of colder climates than some other varieties of strawberry. Alpine strawberries make a perfect addition as a ground cover to a food forest, at the base of fruit trees, can be grown in containers or make an attractive edging of any garden bed. It is also one of the few food plants that can tolerate part shade and highly acidic soils.

Plant: Spring/Autumn
Sow: In full sun to part shade. Germinates best after storage for 2-4 weeks in the freezer.
Seed Count: Approx. 100
