A clumping perennial herb from the onion family growing to 50cm high. It has fine green tubular leaves that are delicious finely chopped in salads, and as a garnish. The flowers are edible and due to its clumping habit it works as a fantastic living barrier on the edge of vegetable gardens to prevent the spreading of invasive running grass like couch.
