Homegrown Heirloom Seeds from Our Permaculture Homestead

A large leek we have grown for many years at our homestead. We are not 100% sure of its original heirloom variety name but this is now saved from at least 4 generations and does well for us year after year. Leave a few to flower and drop seed and it will even readily self-seed.

When: Autumn
Plant: Start in punnets and plant out when shoots form. 10-15cm spacing, full sun. Harvest before flowers form.
Seed Count: Approx 100.
