Sunflower – Mammoth
The tallest of all sunflower cultivars growing up to 3m and beyond with blooms up to 50cm across. Flowers contain large seeds which make a great snack or bird food. Protect from strong winds or stake. If you want to save the seeds for eating/planting cover the flower heads after blooming has finished and petals are starting to fall to allow the seeds to mature without loss from birds.
Sow: direct, or raise in punnets. 50cm spacing, full sun
